Robert V. Coleman, MD, is board-certified and fellowship-trained in internal medicine and endocrinology. Specializing in diabetes management and thyroid diseases, he joins the medical team at Florida Diabetes & Endocrine Center with more than a decade of clinical and research experience. He earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City, and completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas, where he also fellowship-trained in endocrinology.

For much of his career, Dr. Coleman proudly provided care, taught medicine and served his country as a physician in the United States Air Force. During this time, he provided medical instruction at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and served as a staff Endocrinologist at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center, followed by serving as Chief of Medical Staff at Vance Air Force Base in Enid, Oklahoma. Prior to relocating to Florida, he provided compassionate outpatient and inpatient care at The Cotton-O’Neil Diabetes and Endocrinology Center in Topeka, Kansas.

He is a member of American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology and has made great contributions to the medical field through his impressive body of published clinical research. Former patients, as well as our nation, hold the commendable service and medical care of Dr. Coleman in high regard.
